Another Met Gala has come and gone—and 2025’s carpet proved that fashion is still a powerful vehicle for storytelling, identity, and art. With the theme Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, this year’s event honored legacy, innovation, and influence, all while turning heads in true Met fashion.

Let’s break down the Wellrobe-approved looks of the night.

1. Rihanna in Marc Jacobs

Rihanna knows how to show up, and this year was no exception. Radiant in Marc Jacobs and glowing with the news that she’s pregnant again, this was a Met moment that felt intimate yet iconic.

2. Pharrell in Louis Vuitton & Tiffany & Co.

Effortlessly cool. Pharrell continues to blend streetwear with refined tailoring, and this year’s collaboration with Louis Vuitton and Tiffany brought that edge to a new level.

3. Zendaya in Louis Vuitton

No surprise here—Zendaya continues to slay every Met Gala she attends. Her look was classic, sharp, and a masterclass in tailored elegance.

4. Doechii in Louis Vuitton

A rising icon with serious fashion instincts. Doechii’s presence on the carpet felt fresh, modern, and aligned with the theme’s celebration of Black creativity.

5. Sydney Sweeney

Stunning! That’s the only word that comes to mind. A vision of soft glamour, Sweeney brought a feminine balance to the evening’s structured vibe.

6. Nick Jonas & Priyanka Chopra

This power couple always gets it right. Coordinated without being corny—exactly how Met couples should do it.

7. Janelle Monáe

A top favorite of the night. Janelle nailed the theme with razor-sharp lines and artistic details. She’s in a league of her own.

8. Mary J. Blige in Stella McCartney

A bold choice that worked. The legend showed up in custom Stella and reminded everyone why she’s an icon on and off the stage.

9. FKA Twigs

Ethereal, edgy, and poetic. Her look felt like a narrative—visually complex and deeply expressive.

10. Chance the Rapper

Understated yet tailored to perfection. Chance didn’t overdo it—and that restraint paid off.

Theme Breakdown: Superfine – Tailoring Black Style

This year’s theme was a beautiful homage to the craftsmanship, culture, and creativity behind Black tailoring traditions. From structure and silhouette to cultural symbolism, it felt meaningful. A recurring element throughout the night was the visible homage to the late Virgil Abloh—a quiet thread connecting many of the looks.

Loved the honour through Virgil from attendees—it didn’t feel performative; it felt like real respect. One thing I couldn’t ignore? The blue detailing on the carpet. While some loved it, I personally found the changing shades of blue distracting. It took away from the cohesion of the red carpet visuals—but hey, that’s just me.
