As the curtain falls on January, it’s time to reflect on a month marked by intentional choices and a successful “No Stupid Spend” challenge. Living a fortunate life with minimal bills, I decided to kick off the year by reevaluating my spending habits, particularly on beauty and clothing. Despite minor financial gains, the impact on my savings and newfound mindfulness made it all worthwhile.
Taking on the “No Stupid Spend” challenge meant saying no to impulsive purchases, especially in areas like Sephora and clothing shopping. By sticking to a well-thought-out spending outline, I discovered that regular grocery shopping and conscious spending habits significantly contributed to putting more money into my savings account.
Living at home with minimal bills may create a sense of financial comfort, but the realization hit me that I am not made of money.
